Now that you’ve learned a bit about terrorism, I’d like you to pull the information you’ve learned. Please follow the directions below, and remember our previous class discussions and activities concerning essay writing.
Directions: Write a well-organized, 6 paragraph essay that includes an introduction, 3 paragraphs, and a conclusion. Use evidence from at websites to support your response. Support your response with relevant facts, examples, and details. Include additional outside information.
Historical Context: The events of September 11, 2001 made the issue of terrorism an unavoidable one for the United States. Since that time, the government, media, and public at large have struggled to understand terrorism, and thus better know how to combat it.
Task: Using the information gathered in the previous assignments: six paragraphs/organized below
Introduction
define terrorism, using at least three examples .
analyze and explain the major motives or reasons of terrorist organizations such as al Queda.
List the problems we still have today (from airport security to the war in Afghanistan)
Research and explain how Osama bin Laden was killed
explain a specific method you believe would have some effectiveness in limiting or eliminating terrorism, either in general or with a specific group in mind. (you may need to do a web search for ideas!!)
Guidelines:
Use a logical and clear plan of organization, including an introduction and a conclusion that are beyond a restatement of the theme.
Include three pictures
